Poetry

Repressed Dreams

Everything surrounds me,
In the depths, and the darkness I cower,
In fear of being found.
I would open my eyes,
If only I could dream of something,
Anything at all worth believing.
But I merely hold on,
As judgement devours talent, and dreams.
And I forget to live.

The Surge of the River

Oh watch as the woes come and go,
See the tortured souls.
Witnesses all are we to nothing,
But suffering, and pain, and greed.

Here see the pursuers of grandeur,
See the deception ooze.
I long for the flood of rebellion,
To wash it all away.

Oh watch how they feed off our dreams,
See the shattered lives.
Tears of the people will start the surge,
That shall drown the roots of evil.

Here see a world rejoice together,
See the evil writhe.
A world I dream will one day blossom,
From this seed of despicable hate.
